ADDICTED PAWS AND TROLLING TWITTER

Salud, Kids!!

Let's talk about Twitter. Do you do it?
I admit it is sort of silly and I zip in and zip out with irregularity. I follow some and am followed by fewer.

However, yesterday I was intrigued by the name of a recent follower. Toki Poki. Doesn't that just sound fun?

Well, Toki Poki lead me to other Twitter types and there is just SO much out there about pets and pet blogging that I had to zip off Twitter, again. All that viewing other Twitter-ers exhausted my paws, er, fingers.

Perhaps I will get back to it and dig deeper and share my findings with ya. Perhaps.

Besides, the sunny weather and blue skies beckoned and I moved from trolling the Web to trolling Flagler in West Palm with my girl, Reggie.

You know this factoid because you read the blog yesterday and enjoyed the snaps I snapped of dog-related signage and other shenanigans and posted it here.

Outdoors beckoned, that and the fact that two guys were here to unstop my kitchen sink. Yep, it took TWO and at the end of it they couldn't even explain WHY the clog. Very well.

Perfect weather day for dropping all things computer and grabbing a bit of sun and fresh air.
Okay, I admit that I took along my iPhone for a LITTLE Web browsing while my Cavi got her sniff on. So, go ahead and judge me harshly for being addicted. I'm TRYING to break this bad habit. It's HARD, okay?
The sweetest dog I know doesn't judge me as long as I take her out to enjoy her addiction...searching the shrubs and benches for contraband food crumbles.

Listen, we're all addicted to something, right? Anyone?

RANDOM RAGING RIDICULOUS AND RIDICULOUSLY CUTE

Salud, Kids!

What should a Bark 'r Howl blogger do on a random, gorgeous, day in West Palm?

Walk the sweetest and cutest Cavi while observing and snapping snaps of the ridiculous.

First, the ridiculously cute-it's the Cavi getting her sniff on as we walk and gaze at perfection along Flagler. I loved the drawbridge in the background. She just loves the ground. See how it works out so perfectly on a perfect weather day? Yep.

Next, just for grins and howls let's look at this sign posted on a building. PET OWNERS THIS MEANS YOU. Here are the instructions you dolt, here are the bags you doggie-do bagless double dolt and here is the waste container...no, not really. Tough. Go find your own doggie-do waste can. Off you go now.

Yeah, here ya go. Toss that crap into this dumpster. Go ahead and try. It's only ten feet tall, what's the ever-lovin' problem?

Saved the best for last.

This ridiculous sign in Trinity Park on Flagler was, obviously, drawn and ordered by a TRUE animal lover (hold on, I am TRYING to get my tongue dislodged from my cheek, but it's not working).

Um, when did it become naughty for a dog to do their biz on the grass in a park?

Okay, I forgot for a second. Dogs in the Palm Beaches don't do that sort of thing.

Yes, that's it.

JANUARY FOR SAD, JUNE FOR GLAD

Salud, Kids!Heard today that January 17, is the day of year to be sad and June 17, is the day to grin from ear to ear. Some college or something did a study. Another study is just what we need to tell us how to feel and when to feel it.

Now, it doesn't take any sort of survey to instruct the Cavi-Girl, Reggie, on time and place to be elated or morose.

Food? Happy!

Hanging out with B?

Super happy!

Going to the vet?

Not so much.

See? Easy.

##

Let's talk vets, shall we?

There is a vet in Miami, a specialist, who just last week made a kitty and kitty-owner very unhappy. The scenario involved a serious fall, broken leg and a vet tab of $3,000.

Not only would this specialist not administer aid to the feline without the cold cash upfront, the poor kitty was left on a cold metal surface while the staff make rude comments because it had a potty accident.

Clearly, the business of animal health is a business and not a charity, this sort of behavior is still quite shocking and doesn't seem humane.

Makes me appreciate that we have found a good dog-doc here in West Palm. Of course, it took us three tries. What's up with animal caregivers?

Business is business, but when you are dealing with helpless creatures shouldn't compassion be a factor? Evidently, not always and that is sad, any day or month of the year.

HOWLIN' AT 2011 HEARTS

Salud, Kids!

Man, the holidays are dunzo and here we sit, staring at 2011. Nothing else, just staring. Well, the Cavi-Girl, Reggie, did a little howlin'. Wait, I think that was me.

##

New Year's Eve was a blast and I'm not just yakking 'bout those fabulously crazy fireworks over the Palm Beaches.

Nah, it was all good, especially the food and drink.

Best part of a new year? Will get back to ya on that, but the most ridiculous part? Dumb resolutions.

Therefore, I am resolved to shun resolutions.

##

I have decided to keep the morning news, and I use that term loosely, on mute for, oh, about a month or so. The way I see it, it takes about that length of time for the "new you" shenanigans to wear off. You know what I'm talking about.

It makes me cringe to hear all the blathering and droning on about how it is time to get in shape, manage your money more efficiently, have great skin...blah, blah, blah.

So, I will pop in on current events around Valentine's Day.

##

Speaking of Heart Day, I zipped into that major bargain store, Dollar Tree, to stock up on that divine imported (not kidding) jam and guess what?

Valentine's junk lined every nook and cranny. Almost.

Ugh. Not ready. Not ready. Not ready.
